Amber

Amber

Amber has been an LVT (Licensed Veterinary Technician) for 18 years and has been with Startz Veterinary for 10 years.  She loves assisting Dr K in surgery. She is our “go-to” gal for fear-aggressive dogs. Amber loves being a technician!

She is married, has two kids, an olde english bulldog named “Bruno”, a pug named “Pugsley”, a potbelly pig named “Sally”, along with several goats.

In her spare time she can be found in the show barn with her kids showing goats and lambs.  She also likes to go to the beach and spend time with family whether it’s fishing, driving around in the jeep, or just sitting around the campfire.

Ranger

Ranger

Ranger has been a great asset to Startz Veterinary for seven years, working during school and college breaks. As a testament of his commitment, he earned his Certified Veterinarian Assistant Levels I and II. During his time off, he enjoys spending time with his family and especially his seven-year-old Jack Russell Terrier, Jack Jack.   Jack Jack is passionate about hunting rodents and barking at birds, which entertains Ranger immensely.

CJ

CJ

A New Braunfels native, CJ graduated with an associate degree from Memorial Early College High School. She enjoys anthropology, astrology, painting, and star gazing, often employing a telescope to further her studies.  In addition to her hobbies, CJ spends lots of time with her pets: Wall-E, an English Bulldog; Elle, a cat; and Bruce, a Ball Python. Having grown up around veterinary medicine, with her mom and relatives in the field, she has a natural affinity for it.  She intends to pursue a career in veterinary medicine and enjoys time at the practice deepening her understanding of the field.  Following in the footsteps of her loved ones, she hopes one day to become a doctor of veterinary medicine.

Linda

Linda

Linda is our receptionist and has over 6 years experience in the veterinary field.  She is a recent “empty-nester”, a mother to three kids: 19 yr old twins and and a 21 yr old.  She has two dogs: Tucker and Chewy.

In her spare time she enjoys BBQ’ing and hanging out with friends.  She also enjoys jeep outings with jeep clubs she belongs to.

Megan

Megan

Megan moved to Texas from Minnesota a year ago.  She received her Associates of Applied Science in Veterinary Technology from Duluth Business University in 2017.  She loves the weather here and enjoys taking her dog, Frankie, on walks around the lake.

Rachel

Rachel

As the Hospital Administrator Extraordinaire, Rachel pitches in wherever needed. With a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Texas A&M, College Station, and a Master of Science in Pharmacology and Toxicology from The University of Texas Medical Branch, in Galveston, she is well suited to veterinary medicine.  Her favorite aspects of the profession include building the Startz Veterinary team and working directly with clients to improve their animal’s health and well-being.

A busy mom to elementary-aged children, Rachel loves to spend free time at the river with her family and their dog, Bowie. When she’s not at the river’s edge, you can find Rachel practicing yoga, gardening, cooking, and reading.
